Remember in August when I posted about the basement and pleaded with Mandi at Vintage Revivals to come over and give us an Epic Room Makeover? Well, I didn't get the Epic Room Makeover, but this winter, I got a wild hair and decided I would make the best of what I had. We had an open house through our realtor in mid-December, so I thought it might be nice to present the room and the basement as a bit more user-friendly (versus junk and stuff strewn everywhere). We had already hung all the hunting skulls in one of the rooms and I had a pile of 'stuff' in each of the other two rooms.
In one evening, I organized all the holiday decorations into totes, made huge piles for "garbage" and "donate", cleaned, vacuumed, hung stuff on the walls and organized some of my 'gems' into a semi-functional room. Now, the main room is completely clean, and we each have a room for storage purposes.
As you can see, there is seating for at least three, a television (not sure if that one works - it was Chad's from ???), a desk/workspace area, and plenty of storage.
Come on over, we can have a glass of wine, kick back in the basement, and gaze at the wallpaper :)
