Well. Not all stories have a happy ending. After dealing with a buyer on our house since July, we found out tonight, her loan has officially been denied in the final round of underwriting. If you aren't familiar with the house lending process, that's like the final seconds of the game.

To put it lightly, I am furious, sad, annoyed, and I can feel my blood pressure rising when I think about it. If she wouldn't have had the pre-approval paperwork and we wouldn't have been going out of town on the October closing date, we never would have written a cashier's check, signed the paperwork, and moved 90% of our possessions to storage and a rental. Oh, by the way, it's great to make house payments and rental payments at the same time.

In the midst of all this moving business, Chad and I realized we had no furniture to sit on to watch the Oregon football game - since the last week of October, our furniture has consisted of two dressers, a coffee table, two dining room chairs, our mattress, and the television. Obviously, I wouldn't let Chad move the television as I sat packing dishes and watched the Oregon v. UCLA game (that was October 26). Sitting on the hardwoods is not that comfortable...

Sooo... I improvised and created a new master bedroom. It's HUGE in comparison to my previous bedroom. It also boasts big picture windows, a big screen television, a fireplace, and a dining room. Oh, wait, what? A dining room?

Nope, that's just my living room with our mattress in the middle of it. I have to admit, it is pretty convenient and the ceiling fan is awesome. Maybe I'll make the switch permanent. That wouldn't be awkward, would it?
The view from my living room/master bedroom... half-packed boxes and all.

Who wants to help with a moving back in party?

Thanks gals - luckily, our rental is a local couple we know and they knew this was a possibility. We are pretty bummed though! Putting the house back on the market today.

Ugh, ugh, ugh! I'm so sorry to hear this. After reading your last monthly rewind, I kept meaning to wish you a month with more ups than downs. I hope things start looking up! Thinking of you.
